Anywhere In The World - Mark Ronson & Katy B new video
My first thoughts upon hearing this was - vomit. But then I read it was sponsored by Coke and for the London Olympics and that made sense on who it needed to appeal to. I guess it’s great to have these two fine UK representatives making this anthem for the Olympics. And then I noticed Ronson recording and sampling sounds from athletes - breathing, grunting, springboards, punches, ping pong, which then refreshed his genius status in my eyes.
The demo is a lot better than the final version. The samples are still the best part of the song but there’s no climax which is kind of needed since its based around sports. :/
